“Through art – to life!” for kids with disabilities

     To see the significant in the usual, to discover for yourself and others the beauty where it has not yet been seen: the ability to see and embody the beauty and significance of the everyday is the most important ability and quality of the artist.

     Any moment of ordinary simple life in the work of an artist-poet can gain significant meaning. This makes the life of each of us more interesting, expands its boundaries.  

General provisions

The international competition is organized in support of Friendship Circle (www.friendshipcircle.org)  innovative methods of creative development of children with disabilities.

We invite you to take part in the creation of a gallery of drawing children with disabilities, which will collect the best competitive works

The main tasks of the competition

Stimulating familiarization with art as a system of emotional-value criteria for life, interest of children and youth with disabilities and the development of their creative abilities (creativity)

• Development of the ability to observe, analyze, artistically and poetically see real life, to be able to express its content by means of art.

• Development of a system of work with creative children, motivated by children and the formation of an adapted educational environment, ensuring the integrated use of resources, modern technologies, technical and methodological tools for teaching, educating children with special educational needs.

• Activation of the creative energy of school groups and the integration of children and youth with disabilities into the socio-cultural life of modern society.

• Creation of a fund of children’s artistic works and a database of gifted children with disabilities and adolescents with special educational needs.

• Support for creative initiatives and exchange of experience in the field of art education.

• Attracting artists to the work of aesthetic education of children

In inclusive education

The organizers provide:

– Equal conditions for all participants in the competition;

– Information support for the competition;

– holding the competition, viewing and evaluating the work of the competition participants;

– awarding the winners of the competition and their teachers.

Conditions of the competition

The works provided for the competition are not returned or reviewed. The organizers of the competition reserve the right to. The organizers of the competition are entitled to process personal data of the competition participants (publishing lists of winners, publication of catalogs, posters, booklets, diplomas, etc.). The provision of creative works for the competition means the automatic consent of the author of the work and its official representative with the terms of the competition and with the right of the organizer for the processing of personal data.

The order of the competition

Each participant sends a preliminary electronic application and consent to the processing of personal data until end of the 2025 year at the E-mail of the competition: artcontestdk@childrenmakingtomorrow.com or hard copy by address TBD

Basic requirements for competitive work and evaluation criteria:

– Figurative expressiveness;

– Creative independence in the disclosure of a given topic;

– Disclosure of the content of the topic by artistic means;

– Poetic vision of the world.

Each work should be signed on and the strictly printed letters in the following form:

The author’s name of the work

Surname, name of the author (completely)

Age,

E-mail of the author or responsible person

Country and city

Work, that no signed by form above, will not be considered a commission and the jury will not accepted.

Participants are children with disabilities. The drawings of the contestants are evaluated separately for three age groups: 7-10 years old, 11-13 years old, and 14-18 years old.

Artistic materials, techniques and format of work at the request of participants (no more than A2 format).

The work of the jury of the competition is organized by electronic voting of the jury members. The jury chooses the winners of the competition.

1. The procedure for voting the jury

1.1 The jury work begins in the July 1, 2025.

1.2. December 1, 2025 the last day of receiving work.

1.3. End of 2025 year announcement of the results of the competition.

1.4 Works that scored the maximum number of points become winners (I, II, III places). The authors of these works are awarded with diplomas and memorable medals, and gift. The organizer of the competition reserves the right to establish additional prizes.

1.5 Assessment of competitive works takes place in 2 stages. At the first stage, members of the jury by voting establish whether the work presented to the competition has artistic value. The selected works move to the second stage of the competition, where each work is evaluated according to the following criteria:

 • Compliance with the declared topic of the competition and the genre;

• The depth of the disclosure of the topic;

• The originality of the plot;

• Steaming style.

1.6 The jury evaluates the works put forward to participate in the competition, taking into account the criteria named in paragraph 1.3 of these Regulations on a ten -point scale.

1.7 The final assessment of each participant is formed by summing up the assessments of all the jury members according to all criteria.

1.8 The results of the competition are not subject to review. The summary table of assessments of the jury is not disclosed.

2. The responsibilities of the jury

2.1 Conscientiously fulfill the duties assigned to them for the examination of the works of participants in the competition.

2.2 Do not disclose information about the results of the competition earlier than the date of its completion.

2.3 Do not disseminate the work sent to the competition, information about the participants in the competition.

3. Awarding of winners

 3.1 The winners of the competition are awarded with paper diplomas, medals and gifts. Diplomas sending the dates to the winers

3.2. Consent with the Regulation on the competition

3.3 Sending work to the competition, the author agrees with this Regulation and signs the author’s agreement.

3.4. Changing the regulation on the competition

3.5 In the case of unforeseen situations, the organizer of the competition reserves the right to change the terms of the competition. In this case, information about the changes will be published on the pages of the site www.childrenmakingtomorrow.com

“Israel in my heart”

Children’s International Literary Competition

The name of Bella Kaufman

The Organizing Committee of the Children’s International Literary Competition “Israel in my Heart” with the assistance of the American charity organization “Children Making Tomorrow” (Detroit) and Jewish Community Council of New-York (JCRC-NY) is announced by the International Children’s Literary Competition of 2023:

Participants in the competition can be children, aged 8 to 17 years.

Age groups of participants:

The youngest – from 8 to 11 years old

Average – from 12 to 14 years old

Senior – from 15 to 17 years old

Two sections proposed:

  1. Prose (novel, story, essay).
  2. Poetry (any kind).

The proposed topics:

  1. Israel without terror
  2. How I saw Israel
  3. My bar-battens in Israel
  4. Ecology
  5. Fairy tale
  6. Literary translations (any genre)
  7. Historical heritage.
  8. Humor.

  Working conditions:

In order for the work in electronic form to get into the jury, it is necessary to indicate the name and name, age, country and city of residence of the author.

  • Only electronic versions of works in Word format in the form of applications are accepted.
  • Internet links to works are not accepted. Letters with links to sites are deleted automatically.
  • Paper media, discs, photos and PDF books of books are not accepted.
  • The jury and the organizers of the competition do not enter into correspondence and do not discuss work on the Internet and by phone.

The jury of the interactive literary international children’s competition will be considered only text files sent to the specified email mishacompusa@gmail.com

Attention!

The jury members reserve the right to be remote access without advertising the assistance to the organizing committee. Any member of the jury and the organizing committee has the right to take organizational participation in the competition and be his philanthropist. The jury of each nomination in the event of a good work of the participant has the right to recommend work for additional encouragement from public organizations that are friendly.

Laureates are marked by the title “Winner of the International Children’s Literary Prize “Israel in my heart”, and are awarded with special diplomas and medals in each nomination. The lists according to the results of the competition in each nomination can be found on the website www.cilintlitcon.com  or www.childrenmakingtomorrow.com.

To participate in the competition, it is necessary to send your work in electronic form to the jury from April 1, 2023 to July 30, 2023 at mishacompusa@gmail.com

The jury will introduce the participants to the results of this competition by publishing them on a special website www.cilintlitcon.com

The chairman of the organizing committee of the year is the co -founder of the project Ilya Bromberg.

The jury of the competition determines the winners by the number of points they have score from each jury member. See the jury on our website.

Friendly Organizing Committee of the Organization can also prepare their memorable signs, diplomas for those whom they themselves will be taken away among the total number of participants.

Only copyright works in English, Hebrew, Ukrainian or Russian are accepted for consideration to participate in the competition, .

The winners of the competition and the best participants can be invited to the award ceremony. The date and place of the ceremony will be announced additionally.

The competition is designed to identify the best children’s literary work and promote their popularization. Based on the results of the competition, a collection of best works will be released, which will be sent to Jewish organizations and libraries of the United States, Israel, and other countries.

The organizing committee invites everyone to take part in the project. From visitors to the site, friendly organizations, companies and corporations, participants in the competition can be awarded exclusive gifts, diplomas and letters. We are ready to discuss any options for sponsorship and assistance to the authors to winners by connoisseurs of literary creativity of children
